Sizzle (Hip-Hop)
Mark “Sizzle” Alfonso, born March 10, 1987, is an up and coming Filipino American Hip-Hop artist, known for his lyrical talent,versatility and command of attention on stage. At the young age of nineteen, Sizzle has mad his mark in the Hip-Hop industry in Asia, touring the Philippines, Japan, Malaysia, China and Hong Kong to name a few.
His hit “Are You For Me?” hit the radio stations in 2009 when he released his first album entitled “Da Anticipation: The Wait is Over”. Sizzle is definitely making a comeback and currently working on his second untitled album under the independent label, One Up Productions.
Sizzle currently lives in San Diego, California. His father being int he military allowed him and his family to live in various states as well as overseas in Japan. He started writing lyrics casually at the age of fifteen. What used to be a free expression of thoughts with rhymes, wit, and style had always been his strength that easily developed into all spectrums of music production. His style is extremely versatile and can actualize all kinds of Hip Hop style rendered to him. His lyrical content is conscious to life experiences and issues that are evident around him, which he dubs as “Subconscious or Back Pack Hip Hop Rap”. His influences include Jay Z, Nas, Kanye West, Drake, Notorious B.I.G., among many others. His second album, currently under the works, is expected to drop by the end of this year. He is currently showcasing his talents in chosen events and clubs, intensifying his viral presence on Youtube and ultimately showcasing his passion and talent for the art of Hip Hop.
